Get a Card in Washington County

If you already have a library card, you'll just need your library card number/barcode and pin to access the library's online resources.

eBooks and Audiobooks

Using Libby or the OverDrive App to access Overdrive books

Libby is an app for iOS (Apple) and Android (Google) devices on which you can browse, check-out, and read or listen to Overdrive eBooks and audiobooks.

The Overdrive App also allows you to find, borrow, and read or listen to online books from Overdrive, but it works on a greater variety of devices. The OverDrive app is available for Android, Chromebooks, iOS, Fire tablets, and Windows 8/10.

Getting Print Books, DVDs, and CDs

If you currently have a library card (not an eCard that you signed up for during the pandemic) you can place holds on and pick up print books, DVDs, and CDs from your local public library. Each city/town's library has different procedures for pick-ups of physical material, so select your local public library from the list on this page for more specific information.
